For over 35 years our family has welcomed course leaders and their guests to La Gavina — six rooms, a long table, and the quiet of the Sienese hills. The whole farm, just for your group of up to twelve.
A family-run organic farm
Welcome home to La Gavina
La Gavina is a small organic farm that has welcomed guests and friends with warmth and simplicity for over 35 years — a corner of pure nature among holm-oak woods, olive groves and meadows in the hills of Tuscany.
The 13th-century stone building has been restored with care, true to its original architecture. Without pretension, every stone and every leaf has been treated with love. For as long as you wish, this will be your home.

The farmhouse
Six rooms, one big table, and all the space to be together
Six bedrooms, each with a private bath, a country kitchen, the salone with its fireplace, a porch with a long wooden table, the gardens, and a pool carved from an old rainwater spring. All for your exclusive use.

Our table
Tuscan cooking, by our chef Emiliano
Emiliano, your host, is also a chef. Simple, seasonal Tuscan dishes — hand-rolled pasta, peasant soups, breads and meats from the old wood-fired oven — made with ingredients and wine from small producers across the region. Dinners by the fireplace, or under the porch on warm summer evenings.
On request, Emiliano runs traditional Tuscan cooking classes, with tastings of local wine and cheese. The kitchen is glad to prepare dishes for allergies or intolerances.
